Route Details

This route services Islington Avenue between Bloor Street West and Steeles Avenue West. It also serves Rexdale Boulevard, Queens Plate Drive, Woodbine Racetrack and Humberwood Boulevard. There is one southern terminal, which is Islington Station. Northern terminals include Humberwood Loop for 37A and Steeles Avenue West for 37B.

History
- February 13, 2000 - New Sunday and Holiday evening service is introduced on branch 37A to Woodbine Centre and Humberwood via Rexdale.
- October 14, 2001 - At the request of York Region Transit, new peak-period service will be operated on an extended 37D branch to the Pine Valley and Highway 7 area. The fare-zone boundary is established at Pine Valley Drive and Steeles Avenue West. Branch 37C to Steeles and Kipling is introduced to identify the Sunday and Holiday late evening service that operates to Kipling Loop.
- May 12, 2002 - New weekday midday service is introduced on branch 37D to Highway 7 via Pine Valley.
- January 4, 2004 - Branch 37A is extended to operate through the Woodbine Racetrack and Casino loop via a new bus-only entrance off Rexdale Boulevard.
- November 23, 2008 - Full operation moved to Arrow Rd Division. Route is made bike rack equipped.
- June 24, 2013 - Branch 37D to Highway 7 via Pine Valley is discontinued due to low ridership. Last day of service is June 21, 2013.
- June 22, 2014 - Due to a system-wide reorganization of route branch designations, branch 37 to Steeles is redesignated 37B.
- February 15, 2015 - Moved to Queensway Division.
- February 12, 2017 - Branch 37C to Steeles and Kipling is eliminated and replaced with service on branch 37B.
Overnight Service
Overnight service is provided by 337 Islington along Islington Avenue. The rest of the route does not have overnight service, however, the route operates until 1:00 AM every day.
