Osgoode Station SmallAccessible.gif is a rapid transit station operated by the Toronto Transit Commission in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located at 181 Queen Street West at the intersection of Queen Street West and University Avenue. The station named after Osgoode Hall which is located nearby.

Station description

Osgoode's walls and support pillars were originally clad in Primrose (yellow) Vitrolite tiles with blue trim and lettering. The walls opposite the platforms were later covered with beige and tan slats with the station name on panels replacing the engraved name on the walls. The support pillars were retiled with rectangular olive green tiles and the rest of the walls, including those in the mezzanine, were retiled with rectangular pale yellow tiles. The renovation was done in the 1970s in a response to the deterioration of the original tiles from water.

Platform level consists of a centre platform. The mezzanine is accessed by two stairwells with an elevator in between the stairwells. Osgoode's mezzanine is a simple squared room divided by turnstile gates and the collector's booth. There are two fare paid areas: one beyond the collector booth to the north and one with turnstiles only to the south. Both areas have stairs and escalators to platform level. The north area has access to an elevator to platform level. There are corridors to the east and west with access to street level on each corner of University Avenue and Queen Street West. The southeast entrance/exit has elevator access to street level at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts, which opened in June 2006.

The station has no bus terminal so the connection to 142 Downtown/Avenue Rd Express can be made at the bus stops on University Avenue. Connections to the 301 Queen, 501 Queen, and 502 Downtowner streetcars can be made at the streetcar stops on Queen Street West. A transfer is required.
