26 Dupont is a bus route operated by the Toronto Transit Commission in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Route Details
This route services Dupont Street. It continues west on Annette Street, then south on Jane Street to Jane Station. It also serves a part of Bedford Road between Bloor Street and Dupont Street. The western terminal is Jane Station, and the eastern terminal is St.George Station. It was formerly know at TTC route 4 Annette, but was later renamed and renumbered as the 26 to better reflect the area that it serves, and also to free the number 4 for the soon-to-open Sheppard line. Routing remained the same.
History
- November 21, 2004 - Route made accessible.
- November 23, 2008 - Moved to newly-opened Mount Dennis Division.
- November 23, 2008 - Started New Bike Rack service
- November 23, 2008 - Service extended to 1:00 every day, service improved to 30 Monday-Saturday during late evening and Sundays and holidays.
- May 8, 2011 - Due to system-wide service cuts, service is removed after 10pm 7 days a week.
- May 8, 2011 - Moved back to the Queensway Division.
