Toronto Pearson International Airport (also known as just Pearson Airport, IATA: YYZ) is the central airport of Toronto, Ontario and the busiest airport in all of Canada. It is currently a primary hub airport for Air Canada and a secondary hub airport for WestJet.
Terminals
Terminal 1
The original terminal 1 was opened on February 28,1964. It was a circular terminal with a square parking garage on the top. It was offically closed on April 5, 2004 and demolished. The new terminal 1 was opened in April 6, 2004 right when the old terminal was closed. The old terminal was demolished to make room for the new Pier F which adds more gates to the new terminal 1 and allows bigger aircrafts to fit there. Terminal 1 is also the home of the the world's fastest moving walkway. Terminal 1 is connected to the LINK Train network linking the terminal to Terminal 3 and the Viscount Station.
Terminal 1 consists of three areas: Canadian departures (western section), international departures (southern hammerhead) and the remainder for USA departures (neck to hammerhead and eastern section). Access to international departures is via the neck over US departures.
Canadian Departures

The Canadian departures section of Terminal 1 is located in the western section of the terminal. Gates consist of D1/D3-D12 (lower level), D20, D22, D24, D26, D30-D45, D51, D53, D55 and D57. Gate D30 operates as a bus gate for operations out of the Infield Terminal.
Gates D32, D34, D36, D51, D53, D55 and D57 operate as swing gates and can be converted for use for American departures.

The American departures segment of Terminal 1 includes the neck leading to the hammerhead and a smaller portion to the south accommodating smaller/propeller craft. Gates consist of F32-F99 and F84-F99. Gates F32, F34, F36, F51, F53, F55, F57, F64 and F65 are designed for dual-gate use.
In late 2019, the gates serving smaller regional aircraft were expanded with jet bridge gates. Gates F84-F94 maintained walk-to-plane access while new gates F95-F98 provided jet bridge service. F99 acts as a dual gate with ground access only. This coincided with an expansion renovation in 2018 of the southern gate area, along with an express Air Canada lounge.
United States pre-clearance border services are offered in this segment of the terminal.

Terminal 2
Terminal 2 was opened in 1972. It was originally meant to be a cargo terminal. However terminal 1 became too crowded by 1970s. Instead it was opened as a passenger terminal and was officially opened on June 15, 1972. It originally served chartered airlines but however Air Canada moved their hub to terminal 2. Air Canada moved their hub back to terminal 1 when terminal 2 closed. On January 29, 2007 terminal 2 operated for the final day. After that day all airlines moved to Pier F. Terminal 2 started demolition in April 2007. As of today the land where terminal 2 once stands is empty.
Terminal 3
Terminal 3 was opened in 1991 to help equalize traffic from Terminals 1 and 2. It is the hub for OneWorld and SkyTeam alliance airlines, along with unaligned airlines.
Terminal 3 is separated into 3 areas: domestic, USA and international.
Canadian Departures
The south arm of the terminal, excluding the end head, services Canadian destination providers not operating under Sky Alliance. Gates consist of B17-B41. Gates B17-B20 operate as swing gates for American departures.
Service is also provided out of a satellite building located north of the main terminal, with access via an underground tunnel. Gates consists of B1A-B1D, B2A, B2C and B3-B5.

Airport Car Rental
Pearson Airport has five car-rental agencies on-site: Avis, Budget, Dollar/Thrifty, Hertz and National/Alamo. All of these agencies have 24 hour support and can be accessed on level 1 of the parking garages near each terminal.
LINK Train
Toronto Pearson have fully automated trains that run on monorails. It is free to ride and it allows passengers to travel between Terminal 1, Terminal 3, and the Viscount parking garage.
Parking
The airport has three parking lots available, two parking garages and an off-site discount parking lot. As well, Pearson offers a cell phone parking lot, allowing drivers to pick up passengers at the airport. All parking spaces are equipped with sensors to detect the number of spaces available in the garages. The fares for the lots are as folllows:
