Calgary Transit route 62 Hidden Valley Express is an express bus route designed to serve the northwest community of Hidden Valley, and connect passengers to downtown Calgary.

History

1994 - Route introduced, adding new express bus service in the northwest community of Hidden Valley. AM trips to downtown would start eastbound on Hidden Valley Drive at Hidden Park NW, and would travel east on Hidden Valley Drive NW, southeast on Simons Valley Road NW and west on Country Hills Blvd NW, following 14 Street NW, Berkshire Blvd NW, Beddington Blvd NW, Simons Valley Drive N and Centre St N towards downtown. PM trips to Hidden Valley follow the reverse as the AM routing, up until the terminus westbound on Hidden Valley Drive at Hidden Close NW.

1996/1997 - Route extended west to start/end at Hidden Close NW.

Summer 1997 - The portion of Simons Valley Road NW that cuts through Hidden Valley was closed to traffic, and as such Route 62 would be revised to travel on Country Hills Blvd NW, Beddington Trail NW, Hidden Valley Gate NW and Hidden Valley Drive NW to enter the community. Additionally, the west end of the route was extended to Hidden Hills Way NW, adding an additional 2 stops for each direction.

October 13, 1998 - Due to the completion of the Hidden Valley Drive NW loop, trips would be revised to complete a full loop around the community. AM trips to downtown would start westbound on Hidden Valley Drive at 14 Street NW, and would complete a clockwise loop around Hidden Valley Drive NW. Trips would travel to downtown via 14 Street NW, Berkshire Blvd NW, Beddington Blvd NW and Centre St N. PM trips to Hidden Valley would travel to the community via Centre St N, Beddington Blvd NW, Berkshire Blvd NW and 14 Street NW and would complete a clockwise loop around Hidden Valley Drive NW. Trips would terminate northbound on Hidden Valley Drive at Hidden Vale Cresent NW.

May 25, 2020 - Route suspended until August 31, 2020 due to COVID-19 service restrictions.

December 25, 2020 - Route suspended until August 30, 2021 due to COVID-19 service restrictions.
