Calgary Transit 7783-7817

Calgary Transit 7783-7817 are New Flyer D40LF buses built in January 2002.

These buses are equipped with a Thermo King rear mounted heater, and have a ribbed back. In early 2006, the Cummins ISC engines of the buses of this series began receiving a rebuild as they were wearing out early. The engines would be overhauled to ISL specifications which included increasing the bore.

All active buses have been converted from ISC to ISL engines except 7800 and 7808. 7801 had an ISC engine up until it's return in September 2022.

Additional Notes

• 7792 parked for a couple years due to fire damage. Now back in service
• 7805 retired due to fire.
• 7800-7804, 7807-7811, 7813-7817 have been stored at Anderson Garage from May 2020 until September 2022 due to COVID-19 service reductions.

• 7798-7817 transferred to Anderson Garage from Victoria Park in May 2019.
• 7798 & 7799 were transferred to Victoria Park in September 2021 after being stored at Anderson Garage since May 2020.
• 7806 & 7812 were transferred to Victoria Park in April 2022 to replace retired 2001 D40LFs.
