Calgary Transit Max Orange also known as route 303, is a bus route part of the "MAX" Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system. This route connects Brentwood Station and Saddletowne Station, serving a variety of destinations in northwest and northeast Calgary including University District, SAIT, 16 Avenue NW/NE, Rundle LRT Station, as well as the communities of Rundle, Whitehorn, Temple, Castleridge, Falconridge, Martindale and Taradale in NE Calgary.
Current Routing
Towards Saddletowne, the MAX Orange would depart Brentwood Station, and would travel south on 31 Street NW, west on 32 Avenue NW, south on Collegiate Blvd NW, west on University Avenue NW, south on McLaurin Street NW, southwest on 24 Avenue NW, southeast on West Campus Blvd NW, east on 16 Avenue N, north on 36 Street NE, east on 32 Avenue NE, north on 52 Street NE, north on Falconridge Blvd NE, and finally a loop around Saddletowne Circle NE to terminate at Saddletowne LRT Station. Trips towards Brentwood Station would follow the reverse.
History
November 19, 2018 - Route introduced. Service would be provided exclusively with 40-foot buses.
December 23, 2019 - Articulated bus service introduced. One artic key was added to alleviate high volumes of university students. Depending on signup, articulated bus keys would be added or removed.
