Calgary Transit route 449 is a community shuttle bus route designed to serve Eau Claire, Downtown Calgary, 4 Street SW, Rideau Park, Parkhill and 39 Avenue LRT Station.
Current Routing
Parkhill bound trips start southbound on 1st Street and 8th Avenue SW, and would travel south on 1st Street SW, west on 11th Avenue SW, south on 4th Street SW, east on 34th Avenue SW, southeast on Mission Road SW, southwest on Macleod Trail S and east on 39th Avenue SE to 39th Avenue LRT Station.
Eau Claire bound trips depart 39th Avenue LRT Station, and travel east/south on 39th Avenue SE, west on 42nd Avenue SE, northeast on Macleod Trail S, northwest on Mission Road SW, west on 34th Avenue SW, north on 4 Street SW, west on 6th Avenue SW, north on 6th Street SW, east on 2nd Avenue SW, south on 2nd Street SW, east on 3rd Avenue SW and south on 1 Street SW to the terminus southbound on 1st Street and 8th Avenue SW.
History
December 19, 2016 - Route introduced, replacing Route 90 Bridgeland/Parkhill in between Eau Claire and Parkhill.
Service History
December 19, 2016 - Route operated every 50 minutes during the day on weekends and weekdays. Trips during rush hour operated every 30 minutes.
May 25, 2020 - Rush hour frequency reduced to every 50 minutes.
