Durham Region Transit 8551-8553 are Nova Bus LFS buses built in 2015.
They were purchased through the Metrolinx Transit Procurement Initiative and make up three of the seven buses DRT had budgeted for 2014. Earlier in the year, DRT purchased four buses which were built as part of the contract Metrolinx had with New Flyer. The three Nova buses were delivered in June 2015 and were first deployed as extras for the 2015 Pan Am Games.
