Durham Region Transit route 223 'Bayly'

The route 223 Bayly is a cross-regional route from Durham Region Transit (DRT) operated by DRT's Westney Division. Although this route primarily serves the Town of Ajax therefore being numbered under the 200 series route numbers
This route has two branches:
- 223 Bayly(Pickering Parkway Terminal-Pickering Beach Road/Dreyer Drive via Ajax GO Station)
- 223B Audley South(Ajax GO Station-Pickering Beach Road/Dreyer Drive)
The 223 links Pickering Parkway Terminal to the Audley south neighbourhood via the Pickering GO Station and the Ajax GO Station. The route travels primarily on Bayly Street and Audley Road South, although the route has to deviate North/South on Westney Road to access the Ajax GO Station.
Regional Council and DRT’s Transit Executive Committee approved the route 923 Bayly and other service changes in February 2012. The route 923 began service on July 2 of that year.
Until May 4th 2015, this route used to continue east on Bayly Street to Audley Road. New frequencies on Route 222 cut this portion of the route.
Regional Council and DRT's Transit Executive Committee approved many changes slated for June 27th 2016, one change was remerging the 923 and 222 but shortening it from U of T to the Pickering Parkway Terminal.
