Route Details
The 111 connects passengers from the eastern portion of Pickering, to the Pickering Parkway Terminal. The 111 in the east/central parts of Pickering from the Pickering Parkway Terminal, the route travels primarily along Pickering Parkway, Finch Avenue, and Dixie Road. This route also services the commercial shopping centres at Pickering Parkway and Brock Road as well as Kingston Road and Dixie Road. This route serves the neighbourhoods of Maple Ridge, William Dunbar, Bainebridge/Southview and Valley Farm. The 111A is the reverse route of the 111.
The 111S is a school special that was previously operated by the 114B Dixie and even previously the 102 Liverpool. The route travels between Pickering Parkway Terminal to Pine Ridge Secondary School at the top of Liverpool Road.
Route History
The route "111 East Pickering" began service on May 4th 2015 replacing portions of the old route "112 Brock Road route "110 Central Pickering". The route previously was 111 Finch/Highway 2 which was discontinued on August 21st 2012
