Pickering Parkway Terminal is the secondary transit terminal in Pickering Ontario. The route provides service to Durham Region Transit routes that operate north of Pickering Parkway. The terminal is connected to the Pickering GO Station via a pedestrian bridge that was opened in spring of 2012 allowing people accessing the Pickering Town Centre, GO Transit Parking Garage, Pickering GO Station, Durham/Centennial College and Pickering Parkway Terminal to do so without walking to Liverpool Road to access these destinations.
History
Pickering Parkway Terminal opened on August 21st of 2012. The terminal was in planned since the proposal of pedestrian bridge linking the Pickering GO Station to the Pickering Town Centre mall and a new GO Transit parking structure. When the terminal opened it was followed with a major restructuring of routes in Pickering by removing duplicated services or routes that operated to closely together.
