Route History

The 408 Stevenson was originally operated by Oshawa Transit(1960-2006), the route was originally the '8 Rossland' previous to 2004, the route operated from the Oshawa Centre, along Stevenson to Rossland and across Rossland to an old terminal point(Corbett's Hill). The route was significantly restructured to operate in the residential neighbourhood surrounding Stevenson Road(McLaughlin). Since this routing change in 2004, nothing large has changed. This route originally interlined with Routes 411 Grandview and 412 Adelaide. The route originally carried a #8 until the new numbering series was introduced in 2008. The route was cancelled when the 409 Thornton absorbed the route.
