Durham Region Transit 7100-7103
Durham Region Transit 7100-7103 are Nova Bus LFS buses built in 2018 for expansion of the DRT Pulse Bus Rapid Transit fleet.
They were purchased through the Metrolinx Transit Procurement Initiative using money granted to Durham Region Transit by the federal government's Public Transit Infrastructure Fund (PTIF) program.
These new buses have the same green and orange livery as the original PULSE fleet of New Flyer XD40s, except the website URL is no longer present on the sides of the vehicle. Other external differences include a full roofline as originally designed for the LFX, and no grey skirting at the bottom.
Internally, the buses use the same seating model as the XD40s, but have an all-green vinyl maquette and USB ports. There is also overhead lighting and tables at the rear quad seating. Finally, as with all Nova orders since 2016, there is no rear window.
Delivery of these vehicles started in November 2018. They entered service beginning on September 6th, 2019.
