Durham Region Transit route R-10 Ajax
The route R-10 Ajax was a former cross-regional route from Durham Region Transit (DRT). It was operated by DRT's Westney Division.
The R-10 was a circular route connecting Ajax and Pickering via Kingston Road and Baly Street. The route departed Pickering GO Station and headed up Liverpool Road to Kingston Road. It traveled to Pickering Town Centre and the traveled behind City Hall back onto Kingston Road. The route continued to Westney Road in Ajax and traveled down the road to Ajax GO Station. The route traveled from Ajax GO Station down Baly back to Pickering GO Station.
The midday and Saturday routing, known as the M-10 Ajax, followed the same routing but omit the portion between Pickering GO Station and Pickering Town Centre.
The R/M-10 was inherited from the Ajax Pickering Transit Authority after the formation of DRT in 2006. In April 2007, DRT introduced the route 915 Taunton, connecting Ajax, Pickering, Whitby, and Oshawa. The R/M-10 continued to operate alongside the 915, but was eliminated on January 1, 2008; identified as a "low performing route".
