Eh, the GTA’s been sprawling for years so let’s lump in some East Hamilton sightings.

Coffee with a friend was not possible here because of the Doug Ford bullshit with the patios.  What does any self respecting person do?  Wander down to the bottom of the mall where the CN line is and see if there are any trains, of course.

First up, GO Transit 370 leads a train heading towards the Niagara Peninsula.

610 bringing up the rear.  I don’t know if it was heading to Niagara Falls or the yard at Lewis Rd.

Next up, CN 4726 leads a pack of four engines dragging a mixed freight into a yard by one of the steel mills with switch crew on the front platform.

More crew riding on the tanker car at the end of the train to handle switch duties.  It’s a beautiful afternoon to be out there doing that.

And a Fluke 12.  Why am I seeing a Fluke 12?  When you get back to your car and you crank it and nothing happens, you need to start troubleshooting.  Looks like accessories on but engine off for longer than I thought waiting for the friend to arrive pulled the battery voltage down.  6.8 volts unloaded.  Which would be fine if this was an antique vehicle with a 6 volt electrical system but my truck isn’t that old.  Oops.  Inverter/battery booster is in use at home providing a fully isolated AC source for something.   Double oops.  Called CAA and got it jumped, now I’m off for a spin to charge it up.

Oh yeah, the truck does have a voltmeter in the dash gauge cluster but the dash gauges including the VM only come up if there’s enough power to make the control modules come up which means you can’t use voltmeter built into the dashboard to check the electrical system unless the electrical system is functioning. Duh.  Hence having to get the Fluke out of the toolbox.  Why, GM?  Why???

TTC 8400 seen in service on 94 WELLESLEY (I think the A branch, but not sure). Bringing some hand me down retro to downtown.

Also, a short piece of streetcar track is completely exposed on Danforth Ave.  just west of Woodbine in the left turn lane. The track seems to curve northward, but it seemed too far from the actual intersection to be part of the connection to Woodbine loop.

I believe the curve off Danforth to get to Woodbine Station Loop was one block east of Woodbine at Cedervale Ave.

TTC 7924 did 1 trip, in-service training today on the 60B at around 1 pm. I'm not sure why the instructors decided to send it on a branch that doesn't even run at that time (maybe that's specifically why, lol). When it reached Steeles Loop it then went out of service to Queensway.
