TTC: 3757 on route 34C Eglinton East to Flemingdon Park (Grenoble & Spanbridge) as a all day runner

Interesting. According to Transsee, 3752 and 3754 are also both out for midday service on the 34A. I guess with the warmer weather, Eglinton is more comfortable in sending the BYDs out on longer shifts.

How many 8000's are out today?

Looking at Transsee, there currently are 17 of them out right now. Earlier today in the afternoon (before rush hour) there were like 20.

I watched the Bloor subway shuttle for a while from the Islington parking lot. Here's what I saw in that time:

1590
3150
3233
3249
3273
3307
3316
3344
3521
3567
3587
3615
7025
7035
7091
7100
7212
7235
7276
7288
8426
8535
8554
8583
8639
8761
8775
8794
8831
8863
8962

In addition, MiWay 2285 went by eastbound, and 2058 and 2251 went by westbound.

I also saw 3328 and 3358 go by NIS and pull into Islington station. Transsee says they went on 37 ISLINGTON. So not shuttles.

Notable I suppose is almost no Orions (I think I saw a 16xx as well before I was able to jot down numbers), particularly no OGs of any kind, and no NG diesels. Seems pretty safe to say that Queensway had no buses out on this shuttle.

Also no artics seen.

Perhaps the buses were simply reallocated from the scheduled Yonge shuttle?

I'll note that a few of the buses had a standing load, in both directions, however most seemed comfortably seated-load only.

I have no idea how packed they might be at the east end, nor how much of a disaster (or not) Bloor St was, especially at South Kingsway, where the bike lakes have cut down on the lanes and recently have made epic backups of cars in rush hour. I have no desire to go there to find out.

The east end of this shuttle has been an absolute disaster. The last 2 days it has been taking 40+ mins for the EB shuttles just to get from old mill to jane. One op i talked to said it took them 90 mins to do one EB shuttle trip from kipling to jane during PM rush. It was faster to walk then take the EB shuttle.

I have included a screenshot of the traffic in the area from yesterday at 6 PM, although it doesnt look much better today.

I remember when they used to do keele -kipling shuttles, there would be no parking allowed on bloor on those weekends to speed up the shuttles. Unfortunatley with the bike lanes on bloor this is no longer an option.

Also there is a shuttle tracker on transsee, its listed at the top with the subway routes, although it isnt 100% accurate as not all of the shuttles show up on it

Ah, I assumed that the bus list would be above the map, and seeing blank space and just the top of the map I assumed that there was no data.

So per tracker, there's a single Orion OG hybrid, a few NG hybrids, and no other Orions on the shuttle. And no articulated buses.

I don't suppose the Old Mill bridge could be repurposed for the bus shuttles? If it was physically possible to run buses over the bridge (which I don't know) then in theory they could use traffic wardens to facilitate turns to/from Bloor at Old Mill, and then out to Bloor via Riverview. (And that is assuming that local rich old people don't go ballistic.)
