  1. That weekend it seems like they're keeping with 30 minute frequency with the buses. However unlike previous weekends, there are times in the morning and the evening when only the 90R and 90W buses are running. And it's only 2 buses (one 90B and one 90R/90W) per bunch as well.
  2. I spoke a little too early; they posted the full changes on Tuesday. Most interstingly, it seems like route 4 will no longer be directly serving the hospital, and the community routes will start serving the downtown terminal.
  3. Apparently, buses are now on the summer schedule as of yesterday, with no late night service on the 5 and 6, plus with the 11 suspended. And pretty expected, they haven't updated the website, Google Maps or the Transit app to reflect the summer schedule. I expect a lot of people are being/will be left out to dry expecting either the 11 or the late night buses with this now inaccurate info still being up. - Also the 9 is starting to detour via Kawartha Heights Blvd due to construction on Brealey. Funnily enough, it's temporarily a partial reversal of the route changes that came last September. It does means that the route now has two rather significant detours, along with the detour via Reid, McDonnel, and George/Water around Parkhill:
  4. Hi, there are some new things since November that I'd like to see be put in and updated on the main Peterborough Transit article: There's a new route, the 12 Otonabee that was introduced this January Fares increased in February, they're like this now: Cash single ride: Fare Type Cost Single Rider - Includes Accessible Van Service, Community Bus $3.00 Trans Cab (or $0.75 to the Trans Cab driver if you have already paid the bus fare) $3.75 Passes: Fare type Cost Single ride $3.00 Two ride $6.00 Day pass (covers two adults) $10.00 Ten ride $27.00 30 Day Adult $72.00 30 Day Student (to Grade 12) $66.00 30 Day Senior (65+) $50.00 Semi Senior (6 months) January 1st to June 30th $165.00 Semi Senior (6 months) July 1st to December 31st $165.00 Annual Senior - January 1st to December 31st $275.00 Also they now have a site where you can track most of the buses: https://pt.mytransitride.com/. I think it'd be nice to have it on the page since Peterborough Transit's bus info seems to be proprietary and also not on Transsee.
  5. Yesterday evening I was at Oshawa GO and saw that all of the trains on the departures board were only using platform 1. Not completely sure if whether it's preparation for 15-minute service starting on Sunday or it was related to Lakeshore West being hourly over the weekend. Right now looking at the GO Tracker, trains are using both platforms. Also pretty interesting to see "No data/Pas de données" on the departures board. Last time I saw that was actually two weeks ago on the 7th. That time MP40PH 626 was powering that train, and looking at Transsee it's the same case here.
  6. Currently, VIVA LFSA 1386, 1390, 1393 are on Viva Orange alongside A330 5157. - Looking at Transsee, there currently are 17 of them out right now. Earlier today in the afternoon (before rush hour) there were like 20.
  7. I somehow didn't realize it, but the 95 will start running on the 29th. It'll run every 30 minutes between White Oaks Mall and Fanshawe College (the Oxford Campus), rush-hour only. It looks like the 95 should be using stop 4 at White Oaks Mall (shared with the 10), and also stop 4 at Fanshawe College (shared with the 17 EB iirc). Also routes oriented for college and university students are being suspended/service is reduced for the summer. It's nice to see this. The 10 has been very terrible in terms of overcrowding, especially during rush hour. - Looking at Transsee, 9 of the new buses are out right now, also: 612 on the 25 614 on the 20 615 on the 2 616 on the 20 618 on the 7 619 on the 91 620 on the 9 621 on the 34 622 on the 31
  8. Just for fun, I was looking at all my options for my Peterborough-Richmond Hill trip. From Oshawa, the fastest ways will be either Lakeshore East to Pickering, 94 to Sheppard-Yonge, Line 1 to Finch, then Viva Blue/99/360 to Richmond Hill; or Lakeshore East to Danforth, Line 2 to Bloor-Yonge, Line 1 to Finch, and also Viva Blue/99/360 to Richmond Hill. Both of which take me about 3h50min, which still is about 40 minutes slower than how it is currently, but still 20 minutes faster than waiting an hour for the 52. Out of all of this, I do wonder if any routes (such as the 94) will start getting more service due to higher demand. I certainly know that I'll start going via Pickering since (alongside going via Danforth) it'll be the fastest way for me.
  9. I've been looking at the new schedules, and as someone who relies on buses a lot, I'm not liking the reductions in bus service. For example, a trip that I do a lot is Peterborough to the Richmond Hill Centre (it's a really long trip, I know). The trip would usually involve the 88 then either just the 52/56, or the 96B with a transfer to Viva Blue. With the new schedule if I'm leaving early in the morning on the weekend, I either could wait an hour for either the 52 or 96B since they both run every 2 hours early morning (and the 88 arrives at Oshawa in the middle of that gap) or alternatively go to Union, take Line 1 up to Finch, then take Viva Blue. Currently it takes about 3 hours, but with the changes it means it will take nearly 4 hours (both with going via Union and with waiting an hour in Oshawa).
  10. As of right now: DRT 0108 on route 916 DRT 0110 on route 224 DRT 0112 on route 917 DRT 0114 on route 319 DRT 8473 on route 905A VIVA 5132 on Viva Blue VIVA 2288 on Viva Orange
  11. DRT 8470 is tracking on the 901A, and 8473 is on the 900B right now.
  12. It was 0107. Caught it at the Pickering Parkway Terminal this afternoon.
  13. I hope so as well. I took the first SB afternoon trip on Friday and there were easily about 30 people at UTM waiting for the 199, so there definitely is demand for the route. It would check out if it's just suspended until September given it's April. At both the Gateway Terminal and UTM there weren't notices that Friday was the last day for the route. (Does Brampton Transit usually put up notices like MiWay for service changes?)
  14. GO 8501, which is supposed to be on the 18 was tracking in Waterdown
  15. Agreed. I'm not sure why they don't push out service updates to transit apps/websites like other transit agencies (such as GO Transit). Makes it very inconvenient.
  16. I was looking at the DRT website and I noticed some schedules coming into effect next month are already up, namely for routes 101, 112, 216, 301, 319, 409, 410/423, 411/421, 419, 507, 902, 920/921, and N1/ N2. From what I saw, most of the changes are just minor scheduling changes but there are some notable changes: The two weekday NB 216C trips leaving Harwood and Taunton at 06:25 and 06:55 are removed The first weekday NB trip on route 410 will leave the Oshawa Centre 10 minutes earlier than it does currently (so it will leave at 06:00) Weekday WB trips on route 902 arrive into Oshawa station later than currently There will be a new WB trip on route 920 which leaves Harmony Terminal at 22:15 The biggest change is the one to the 902. Assuming that train schedules won't also change next month, the new schedule makes it so that many trips that start in Bowmanville will arrive into Oshawa GO either when trains are leaving or 2 minutes before they leave. Routes 403 and 421, which are also scheduled with connections for Lakeshore East at Oshawa GO don't have changes to when they arrive, though.
  17. On the website it shows this: I'm inclined to say they just didn't update it.
  18. This evening, the lights outdoors went out at the terminal, and I believe because of that briefly buses were ordered to not go into their bays as usual. Alongside front signs changing, the side and back ones have changed as well. They now show what direction they're going (i.e. the back sign will say 2 NB, and side will say ROUTE 4 WESTBOUND). The external announcement also changed, on the 6 today I heard something like "Route 6 to Trent U Bata" rather than the "Route 6 Sherbrooke to Trent Bata" that I'm more used to hearing. Some of the new signs I saw today are: 2 CHEMONG SOUTH//ROWBERRY BL TO TERMINAL TO LANSDOWNE PLACE 4 WELLER WEST//MUSEUM TO TERMINAL TO DENURE DRIVE 5 PARKWAY NORTH//FLEMING COLLEGE TO CASINO TO DOWNTOWN TERMINAL 6 SHERBROOKE EAST//FLEMING COLLEGE TO TERMINAL TO TRENT U BATA 6 SHERBROOKE WEST//TRENT U BATA TO TERMINAL TO FLEMING COLLEGE The two buses I saw on the 11 this evening though didn't use this new format. (Only took a picture of 4408).
  19. It seems like headsigns have changed again. I was out this morning and saw 7417 on the 5 going towards Fleming College with the new headsign of "5 PARKWAY SOUTH//TERMINAL TO CASINO TO FLEMING COLLEGE" (as seen below). Comparatively, the one from last September was "5 PARKWAY/TERMINAL CASINO COLLEGE", and prior to that it was "5 FLEMING COLLEGE/PARKWAY" (again, as seen below). As it turns out, this new variant of the 6C only has one trip, on Sundays leaving Fleming College at 8:10 PM. And is indeed a 6A (Fleming-Terminal) and 6C (Terminal-Trent Bata via Armour Rd and Trent Gzowski).
  20. New service changes coming on Sunday, the 3rd: These changes are pretty interesting. I know from personal experience it's always been very annoying and time consuming on both the 6 and 11 stopping at every stop on George and Water so I welcome removing some stops. The ones on Armour though I don't think are too much of a burden to keep serving them all but they were really close to each other regardless. I'm not completely sure why there's changes to the scheduling of the 5 (maybe due to the 8 constantly being behind schedule arriving into Fleming?), but it will mean that both the 5 and 8 are scheduled to leave Fleming at the same time. And finally the change to the 6C is just weird. If I'm reading it right, the change is that on Sundays the "6C" is going to be a 6A (Fleming-Terminal) that will interline with the 6C (Terminal-Trent Bata via Armour Rd and Trent Gzowski). I presume that this is since there's demand on the 6A corridor going towards downtown and also since whenever different vehicles are meant to run the 5 and 6C, connections aren't guaranteed. If the actual change is that it'll be extended to Fleming and runs express to downtown, that will be even more weird.
  21. Saw this on 6716 this evening, interesting to say the least since Peterborough Transit isn't even integrated with two of the options well (Google Maps and the Transit app) in my opinion at least. They only send out service advisories and cancellations on Twitter and Facebook (so not visible on Google Maps and the Transit app at all), so I myself have had to tell people the bus was cancelled or otherwise not running at least 6 times.
  22. DRT (all loans from the TTC) 8652 at Whitby GO 8654 at Ajax GO 8650 at Whitby GO TTC 3278 NIS on Kennedy Rd in Markham YRT 2231 on route 1 at the Richmond Hill Centre 584 NIS at Highway 7 and Bayview
