There are a couple of posts about it in the sightings thread. I personally love the Pride wrap on 2102.

The only other full bus wrap I ever really liked was the anniversary wrap on 6394 back in the day.

OC Transpo also plans on rebranding some bus stops on Bank St. going from Queen St. to Catherine St. with a pride coloured version of their O logo.

Just for a little fun: Councillor Laine Johnson of College Ward is offering a free LRT Orientation to residence who has never ridden O-Train Line 1. The oritentation tour also includes a free ride on an electric bus (being Chartered). 

The date of this is on Friday, September 29 at 10:30am.

I spotted 8127 on the 7 Carleton crossing the St Patrick’s bridge around 12.30pm today. I thought deckers couldn’t operate the 7 due to obstructions at Carleton?

Double deckers have always been used regularly on the 2, 10, and 111 so I don't think there are any obstructions at Carleton.

I’m sure I read years ago there’s a specific issue with deckers on the 7, but I can’t remember what it was.

Pretty sure the older DD buses OC had were too tall for the bridge at Carleton... the Super Lo's we have now I think make it under that bridge.

Unrelated question... is 2102 still wrapped for Pride? My understanding was Pride Month (aka August) ended and they were to "unwrap" the bus after that, but nobody's been discussing it since.

I was out on September 11th and it was still wrapped while on the 35 Esprit, but a lot can change in a week

Just so there is no misunderstanding, OC Transpo's double decker buses that were purchased in 2012-13 (buses 8001 to 8075) had no issues with the rail bridge at Carleton. They have been on Route 10 (as well as the old Route 4 before the route renumbering), 111, Line 2 Bus, and the old Route 104. 

The only group of double decker buses that had issues at Carleton were the pilot buses from 2009 (buses 1201 to 1203), but those were retired in late-June 2012.

If I remember right it's for st Laurent towards the RCMP stables. Far too many low hanging trees and not enough consistent tree maintenance. I know if I ever have one and extend they try to avoid it. But it's doable as long as the operator stays to the middle of the road

In the last few days I have seen OC buses driving into the RCMP building at Vanier and Coventry and noticed one this morning parked in the car park, anyone know why?

The employees wanted their 103 back just like how it used to be pre 2011. On a serious note, they don't tend to let Ordinary People access the facility, so I assume it's a shuttle service of some kind.

No identifying info on the destination sign or run #?

Don't know exactly where to put this but as of yesterday, both stops 1406 and 1403 still have flags that list the 221 going to Albert/Bay, instead of Blair

I don't know who installed these signs (OC Transpo, City of Ottawa, or OSEG/Lansdowne), but these wayfinding signs on both sides of Bank Street still use a black number for route 7:

The bus stops themselves use the usual orange numbers.

They're OC Signs. They predate the the renumbering of route 1 to route 6, so it got a sticker that route 7 didn't need.

Training was looking at using the back parking lots for reversing practice.

 

Recently they’re back to using the ‘Coventry Lay up’ that was used during LRT construction. That’s just beside the 417 WB on ramp at Vanier Pkwy.

They were using the Hampton Inn car park for training during the summer.

Yes, we had a deal with the parking provider to use the Ball Stadium lot, that ended so back to the old Coventry Lay up [owned by MTO].

So it looks like all the cancelled Connexion routes are cancelled for good. The bus flags along Richmond Road in between  Baseline and Holly Acres have been replaced with "School Routes Only" bus flags
