Revision as of 14:04, 29 May 2022
GO Transit 2500-2517 are MCI D4500CT buses delivered in March 2012, and were placed into service beginning in April 2012. Upon these coaches entering service, the remainder of the 2001 order (specifically 2107-2110 and 2112-2113) were retired.
This batch have largely the same specifications as the previous order. One minor revision is the placement of shorter stop request strips near the top up on the window pillars, instead of full-length ones found on previous orders.
The coaches were delivered with 57 seats. A fleet-wide removal of the row of seats beside the wheelchair access door took place in 2013 in an effort to expedite wheelchair loading. This row of seats had to slide forward on a track to make space for the wheelchair, however in past experience the track would frequently become clogged with debris and inhibit motion.
Beginning in 2018, the buses in this series were refurbished and repainted into the new two-tone scheme. This was done as part of a two-year refurbishment contract.
