Mount Pleasant GO Station is a GO Transit train station located in Brampton, ON.
The main station platform is located between the south and middle tracks, with a second platform on the north side of the north track. Both platforms are connected through underground walkways at the far west and east ends of the platforms. The tunnels connect to the new development on the north side as well as the bus loop (west) and parking lot (east) on the south side. The station building is located between the bus loop and east tunnel, with the Passenger Pick-up & Drop-off south of the building, and parking lot to the east. A ticket agent is available in the station building during AM rush only; otherwise, a Ticket Vending Machine is available.
History
With GO service becoming increasingly popular, Brampton GO Station was becoming overcrowded. Located in downtown Brampton it had no expansion possibility, and the northwest area of Brampton had no nearby service. Mount Pleasant began construction and was scheduled to open in 2006, but due to the need for immediate relief of Brampton the station was opened on February 7, 2005 while still under construction. Construction was eventually finished by March 2006. At the time, it was outside of the developed area of Brampton, but since its opening housing has expanded to meet the station.
There is still expansion room at Mount Pleasant; although a 611-space lot was initially opened, there is room south and west of the bus loop for expansion to up to 2,000 spaces. Development occurring to the north of the station has also enabled GO to add bus stops for future Brampton Transit service. Mount Pleasant is also expected to be the terminus for all-day train service when it returns to the Kitchener Line.

Bus connections are currently made in the bus loop on the south side of the station with the exception of Bay 9, which is located on the north side of the station on Commuter Drive in Mount Pleasant Village.
