Side note, if anyone gets a chance to, please do yourself a favour and get some recording of 3015 decelerating. It sounds like a midi keyboard. I will upload a video this weekend when I get the chance.

Yep, it still does.

2030-another-few-years-v0-b7z54f2ms17b1.

So, someone posted this on Reddit a few days ago, it’s even announced on the official ttc website. It says the final day for the SRT will be on November 18, 2023 Therefore Ending 38 years of service. The units that will participate on the final day of the SRT are unknown because currently, no SRTs are retired at the moment.

Reread the wording of the posting. “Service on Line 3 will be replaced on November 19, 2023 with frequent bus service…” Therefore, Saturday, November 18 will ultimately be the last day of service for the ICTS cars. TTC wouldn’t run service one last Sunday, then go to frequent bus service on the Monday.

3017 and original 3024 have been retired and are being parted out.

3016 has been renumbered to 3024 and now mated with 3025.

Info came from a reliable source.

Can you provide a link to that source? Otherwise we can’t just mark it as retired or renumbered.

All i can say is they're an internal source.  Maybe someone can hunt down 3024 and look at the numbers to see if there's any evidence.

For what it’s worth: I can confirm hearing the same information from the same source at the TTC.

I'm not really doubting but it seems odd, 3024/25 were the same pair that went missing for several months only to come back and be retired like a month later...hmm

They must of tried fixing a major issue only to be deemed unfixable.   I'm sure the transit experts have a valid reasoning.

I don't think we'll see retirements while the line is still in service, they need every available unit to continually work on in order to provide the bare minimum service.

When the line shuts down, that's when I think you can cross them all off. And we'll start seeing them on trucks hauled off for scrap.

Guess we might after all see at least a few being hauled away to their final destination soon, before the final shutdown.
