It’s going through its midlife refurbishment. You must’ve missed my post in the Novabus rebuilds topic

Midlife rebuild when it's already 60% - 70% into its life span

You do realize that 8552 is an anomaly for the 6 year Nova rebuilds? It was out of service from late 2020-early 2023, that's why it's being rebuilt with the last few 87s and 92s instead

Why does It show that 8552 was last seen on route 9 Bellamy broken down at St Clair and Kingston road.

Its tracker was turned off at that time. So Transsee showed the last location of the bus, but we all know it’s going through a rebuild as of the moment.

Wajax continues to resemble a ZÜM/BT yard.

Only TTC vehicle seen hanging out there was 8635.

7423 has moved on. Maybe it's hitting the showers somewhere?

TTC Buses at Extreme Concord Garage: 7299,7304,7308,7312,7316 & 7327

MIA TTC Buses: 7000 last seen January 5th 2024 on Derry Rd East in Sauga

I think 7000 is at MTB or City View

I heard that 7423 was finally scrapped.

A little unrelated but 7423 was built in July 2003 and entered service on 2003/12/08 making it just over 20 years old. Oldest TTC OG that was still lingering around. Surprised it stuck around so long after being decommissioned and donated.

Do you know what day the very first VII entered service? I believe there was a public presentation of 7400 in January 2003 or thereabouts, but I've never seen an exact date given for the first day of operations.

I’m not sure for 7400 itself. But 7900 is 2006/02/24.

The in-service dates at TTC are based on the day the bus is done with plating, testing, PDI, etc. Not necessarily the very day it went in actual service for the first time.

That would explain why some of the entry into service dates I've found for the NGs were only a day after the vehicle was initially delivered. That struck me as a remarkably quick turn around time!

7040 had a fire , I don't believe it had hit service yet though.

I believe I saw this one doing some sort of test run exiting STC and heading south on McCowan in the late afternoon some time last week. The Training Bus sign was up but it didn't look like operator training, possibly mechanics. I'm not 100% sure I remember the number correctly though.

8096? I suppose you mean 8095 since the dates line up to that unit. It was on route 37 Islington last and had a collision at the division. 7939 is 2019/04/24 on route 44 Kipling South.

Where do you get all this info

Is anyone able to update about 7040s fire? Very curious on what happened and if the damage is minor.

It has fire suppression so hopefully that was working.
