  1. 8410 also has a full body wrap for Capital Direct identical to 8960’s.
  2. They tend to get driven to North Queen from Queensway. When they are taken for decommissioning, they are towed if MTO, ownership and plate sticker is no longer valid. TTC received a complaint about buses being driven without license plates and valid MTO recently so they have since been towing them.
  3. Quick video but this is how it sounded on its last day in service on Saturday. It broke down by the end of the night. IMG_9885.mov
  4. I’m hearing 1562 as well due to a cracked frame.
  5. It went to Queensway with 8308 last night. I assume it must’ve been a shuttle for the mechanic driving 8308.
  6. 8039 was seen mostly intact with its licence plates removed while being towed eastbound on Dupont St this evening. I assume it is being brought to Hillcrest for decommissioning. Last day in service for this unit was February 26th, 2024 on route 37 Islington.
  7. As far as I know for the more recent retirement dates on the wiki they are based off of the day the bus was decommissioned and not its last day in service or when it was sent for scrap.
  8. The thing is, the entrance at North Queen has a gate they can close off but they never seem to actually use it. I think they should be using it as they do store other things on the property like Event Supports, the occasional Malvern NG HEVs, employee cars, and non-revenue vehicles. It’s only a matter of time until groups of teenagers find North Queen and start busting things up worse than the these “enthusiasts” already have..that’s if they haven’t found out already. And dear “enthusiasts”…if you’re going to do stupid things you can at least be smart enough to not publicly post it. And to note that the fate of some of those 81s was still to be determined by the ET and Fleet Management so regardless of it being “an old bus” it’s still a loss for TTC.
  9. You “enthusiasts” are evolving…
  10. 8062 is a monitor/swing for low oil pressure issues. I doubt it will come out again.
  11. The DC was quite full of buses…I suspect they may have moved those to make some space at the garage seeing as Queensway is already tiny. But not entirely sure.
  12. Last day in service was the morning of February 22nd, 2024 on route 79 Scarlett Rd. Both have MTO due for March along with license plate sticker and ownership renewals.
