Regional District of Nanaimo Transit System, officially named RDN Transit System, serves the regional district of Nanaimo, British Columbia. The service is operated by the region's transportation division.[1] Planning and administrative services are provided by BC Transit.
This the first transit system in Canada to be fully operated by buses powered by CNG.[2]
During April to mid-May of 2018, three D40LF were in service while regular fleet of 50 XN40 had smart bus technology installed on them. This is the first system for BC Transit to start installing smart bus technology.[3]
