Merritt Regional Transit System
Merritt Regional Transit System is the transit system serving the city of Merritt, British Columbia. Funding is provided by the City of Merritt, Thompson Nicola Regional District, and the Lower Nicola Indian Band. Planning and administrative support is provided by BC Transit. Operations are contracted to Nicola Valley Transportation Society.
Transit service in Merritt was initiated in 2013.
On November 15, 2021, all service was suspended following severe flooding and an evacuation order for the City of Merritt. Limited service resumed on December 8, 2022; due to the collapse of the Voght Street bridge, routes 2 and 3 were temporarily merged to provide service to the Collettville area via a significant detour.
