BC Transit 600-609

BC Transit 600-609 are OBI Orion 05.501 buses built in 1990. Along with sister unit 610, they were the only Orion V model buses to operate for BC Transit.

While assigned the internal numbers 8600-8609, similar to most Victoria-based units they were delivered with only the last 3 numbers. 604-606 and 608-609 had their 8 prefix applied after being transferred to other properties.

Details

All buses in the Victoria fleet were given names honouring the countries participating in the 1994 Commonwealth Games. These names (ie. Spirit of Canada) were displayed on the right side of the windshield of each bus.[1]
