Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation Oakland Terminal is located at 2021 Barrett Drive, just north of Maple Road, in Troy, Michigan. The building, which had already existed, was purchased by Southeastern Michigan Transportation Authority in 1976. Intended to be a replacement for the old Great Lakes Transit Corporation garage in Birmingham and later to house buses from the demolished Martin Lines garage just a mile southwest, the Oakland Terminal has a capacity of 135 buses, however, as of October 2014, only 82 fixed-route buses were assigned to the Oakland Terminal.
