This route services Mack Avenue between Moross Road and Vernier Road, Vernier Road between Mack Avenue and 8 Mile Road, 8 Mile Road between Kelly Road and 10 Mile Road, 10 Mile Road between Kelly Road and Dequindre Road, Dequindre Road between 10 Mile Road and 11 Mile Road, 11 Mile Road between Dequindre Road and Washington Avenue, Washington Avenue between 11 Mile Road and 10 Mile Road and 10 Mile Road between Washington Avenue and Telegraph Road. This route services the Royal Oak Transit Center.

History

  • July 1, 1991 - Route introduced, contracted to ATE Management & Services.
  • June 9, 1994 - SMART takes over operation after privatization costs are eliminated after ATE's drivers joined the Amalgamated.
  • December 11, 1995 - Route extended west from Royal Oak to Telegraph Road.
  • June 18, 2018 - Route rerouted to service 10 Mile Road between Washington Avenue and Coolidge Highway, with Coolidge Highway service eliminated.
