I've seen a lot of 501 replacement buses on Queen today (near Russel). They don't even have enough running CLRV's now to run along the Flexity's on Queen?

The past two weeks have had alot of replacement buses, must be some shortage, either operator or shortage of cars

The reason that the Queensway buses have been on Queen or other streetcar route as of this board is because of the dual mode Run As Directed (RAD) crews that were created starting this board. Only the 79xxs that didn’t receive vision will be utilized as the RAD buses on streetcar lines. If other buses do show up on the streetcar lines (ie, Eglinton & Queensway buses on the 506 during weekday am peak service) they are most likely scheduled runs

That explains why I saw 7951 and 7946 out there. In prior months I had seen hybrids and Novas out on the east side of the 501.

If there is a list out there, I haven't been able to find it. It also doesn't help that it seems like some of the cars that used to have 2+2 seating lost it over this decade, for example 4041 had 2+2 seating when I rode it in 2012 but by 2016 it was 2+1.

That being said, I know of: 4001-4004 (4000 was the only SIG unit to lose the double seating), 4110, and 4182. I believe 4057 is one of them too but I'm not 100% on that.

This was what I had from personal observation, never saw any official lists. I compiled this in 2014-2015 before retirements started so it should be pretty complete. There should still be about 18 out there.

I'm trying to contemplate which clrv's have the old number font on the front of the car.

This is my list so far: 4004, 4117, 4180

4069 and 4089 have weird number font that is different from the old font and new font.

Have you found any others?

Some units have numbers on top of the rear rollsign. 4080 4121 4049 4098 4032 4037 4108 and a few others. 4194 also had similar numbers to 4117.

4191 has a really odd one, IMG_2818(2).thumb.jpg.0546ea41f865ed0c22ba7b9f06090f35.jpg

I think its 4114 that has bolded rear fleet numbers

That one as well, but 4194 had different numbers on the back. The last time I saw this car was at Hillcrest missing a few windows. The rear numbers were bolded.

4028 and 4080 before it was rebuilt had different front numbers, presumably from accidents.

4046 and 4029 I think had rear bolded numbers as well.

4000 and 4238 had white numbers on the rear near their rear lights.

There were several other units that have rear numbers above the rollsign that have or had them including 4012 4024 406x 407x

I never knew this! Also 4108 has a weird font number in the back of the inside of the streetcar.

The recent ones are the cars that had roof repairs. The red stripe above the windows is also usually freshly repainted.

It's been like this since last year from what I know of.

I have it since October 15, but I don't know when the car came back into service looking like that.

In any case:

4187 is booked out on the 501 this morning.

4001, 4003, 4039, 4079, 4086, 4087, 4091, 4127 at Hillcrest

4181 MIA since March 28 on 506

4144 MIA since April 1 on 506

I spotted it (i forgot the route) on Sunday last week. Must've happened after then.

I saw it on the 501 at Park Lawn and Lakeshore. There were 2 cars in front of it that hit each other, it seemed like they were going opposite directions too close to the center line. I thought they didn’t hit 4003 since when I checked the tracker it still ran for hours after that. I’m thinking they possibly ran it for a few hours with a damaged front skirt.
