wil9402 Posted October 7, 2023 Report Posted October 7, 2023 According to the last board meeting, the goal for Phase 1 is to install enough chargers among 6 garages (every garage except Mt Dennis and Queensway) to electrify 25% of the fleet by 2024 to accommodate the vehicles on order. They've already began installing additional chargers at Arrow. 1

The ride is nice except for the rattling and falling apart of the overhead advertising signs. It's worse than a fishbowl. They really didn't use proper fasteners or screws because the whole thing is coming apart. Cheap manufacturing. 1
ilovettc Posted November 17, 2023 Report Posted November 17, 2023 TTC TransSee: 3719 is at McNicoll Garage this evening for some reason that I don't know of. 1
wheelindealin Posted November 17, 2023 Report Posted November 17, 2023 The last rebuilt BYD #3755 is now back in service on Rt. 88A 1

Tom1122 Posted December 15, 2023 Report Posted December 15, 2023 For what it's worth, 3724's tracker was recently reset.
Tom1122 Posted December 30, 2023 Report Posted December 30, 2023 3724 has been moved inside Arrow Road garage. Most likely they're doing work to get it ready for service.

Awesome pics btw. Hope they can order the XE60 in years to come.
Young Posted January 11, 2024 Report Posted January 11, 2024 Wondering if the fleet # of these will range from 3800-41xx or 7400-77xx unless they want to save the 74xx-77xx in case they expand the xde40 order like New Flyer proposed a while back

I can see the retirements being a very slow painful process as those electrics will most likely be plagued with bugs for quite a while. 1 hour ago, Young said: Wondering if the fleet # of these will range from 3800-41xx or 7400-77xx unless they want to save the 74xx-77xx in case they expand the xde40 order like New Flyer proposed a while back I would wait for the first leaked photos to appear to guess the numbers. The TTC threw many off when they reused the 7000 and 9400 series. I do wonder if they plan on keeping the numbers close together. It's interesting they have not used the 2000 series since the Fishbowls. The 4000 to 6000 looks to be fully reserved for rail. Don't forget too they will have gaps in the fleet numbers between the two models. 1
Highway of Heroes Posted January 22, 2024 Report Posted January 22, 2024 I think the main reason why the TTC has stopped putting BYDS in regular service for this board is because they will use 2-3 BYD buses in the evening at Spadina Station for shelter buses.
Young Posted January 24, 2024 Report Posted January 24, 2024 I wonder if Nova has started production on the LFSe+ buses for the TTC or maybe they’re waiting until they deliver all of the 2023 hybrids

Tom1122 Posted March 7, 2024 Report Posted March 7, 2024 According to Transsee, 3724 is at the garage near Vaughan Mills mall.

The side fairings around the roofline adores to be higher, and the nighttime turning lights (black lines) were added to the drivers side.
