Broadway–City Hall is a SkyTrain station in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Station Details

Located at W. Broadway and Cambie Street, Broadway–City Hall is a short walk away from Vancouver City Hall and Vancouver General Hospital and its adjacent medical centres in Vancouver's 10th Avenue Health Precinct.

The station features a large double-height ceiling over the platform area. Passengers can view trains entering and leaving the station from the walkway over the platforms. In the concourse area, there is a knock-down wall in lieu of a future connection with the Millennium Line.

During planning, Broadway–City Hall was called Broadway.[1] This was later changed in 2006 to its current name.[2]

To make way for station expansion construction as part of the Broadway Subway project, demolition work on adjacent buildings along W. Broadway began in April 2021. Work on building a traffic deck between Cambie and Alberta streets along W. Broadway began in June 2021.

Broadway Subway Expansion Work

As part of the Broadway Subway project to extend the Millennium Line from VCC–Clark to Arbutus, Broadway–City Hall Station will be significantly expanded and transformed into a major transfer station. Station expansion work includes the construction of two additional floors below the existing station: a lower concourse to facilitate transfers and a lower platform level for the Millennium Line running perpendicular to the Canada Line. An additional elevator lobby will also be constructed immediately east of the existing entrance building on W. Broadway.

On both of the existing Canada Line platforms, new corridors will be constructed that will be connected to the new lower concourse.

YVR Check-In

Broadway–City Hall Station had self-serve check-in kiosks on the concourse level for Vancouver International Airport flights. As of 2020, these have since been removed.

Bus Routes

Bus services are located along W. Broadway and Cambie Street. Bays 1 and 4 are on W. Broadway and Bays 2 and 3 on Cambie Street.
