Route 43 was a bus route operated by OC Transpo in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Route Details
Route 43 was a peak period route that connected the community of Conroy with Hurdman station. Service operated Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM (AM peak) and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM (PM peak).
History
September 5th, 1995
- Revised to travel from Bank at Walkley, via Walkley to the new Southeast Transitway and downtown.
September 2nd, 2001
- Will be extended to Johnston and Conroy in order to bring peak period service closer to new residential areas.
September 4th, 2011
- Will deviate slightly to serve the upper level of Greenboro Station.
December 20th, 2015
- Ends at Hurdman Station.
June 19th, 2016
- Route is modified to travel from Bank Street south to Hunt Club Road and then north along the Transitway to Hurdman Station. Travel time and connections did not change. Afternoon trips follow a reverse pattern.
- Route is removed from Bank Street between Cahill and Walkley Road, which continues to be served by Route 1 and by revised Route 114 south of Johnson.
December 25th, 2016
- Route is renumbered to Connexion Route 298 in preparations for the launch of the O-Train Confederation Line in 2018.
