Route 47 was a peak period route that operated from Gloucester South, South Keys and Riverside communities to Downtown. Service operated Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM (AM peak) and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM (PM peak).

History

June 21st, 1989

• Route renumbered from Route 87.

June 25th, 1990

• Route is slightly revised to travel on Kemp, Orville Kemp, and Melva replacing peak period trips on Route 142.

June 24th, 1991

• Route now serves newly built Riverside, Smyth, and Abbey stations.

September 3rd, 1995

• Route is cancelled and replaced by revised Route 40.
