Route Details
This route services Dequindre Road between the Beaumont Hospital Troy campus and 8 Mile Road, 8 Mile Road between Dequindre Road and Woodward Avenue and Woodward Avenue between 8 Mile Road and the State Fair Transit Center.
History
- July 1, 1991 - Route introduced, contracted to ATE Management & Services. Route runs between the State Fair Transit Center and the Oakland Mall Hub via Dequindre Road.
- June 9, 1994 - SMART takes over operation after privatization costs are eliminated after ATE's drivers joined the Amalgamated.
- December 11, 1995 - Northern end of the route is truncated to Dequindre Road and Metropolitan Parkway.
- January 4, 2021 - Route extended north to the Beaumont Hospital Troy campus. Service through the Target shopping center at Metropolitan Parkway is discontinued.
