TRs tonight:

5401-5406 on 142

5461-5466 on 198

5441-5446 on 143

In this order northbound at Eglinton by 5.30. At the same time a fourth train was heading south at Eglinton but I could not catch the number.

544x set was on 119 run during the midday (10:31AM Finch-bound at Union).

541x set was also out during PM rush, caught it SB at Bloor around 5:40-5:50. Didn't catch the run number. EDIT: Caught it again SB at Dundas on 138.

BTW, these were my first rides in exactly 50 days... trolls.

I had to let that group of three TRs pass (along with the T1 and two H5s behind them) northbound at Dundas between 5:10pm and 5:20pm. They were all packed and the platform was packed as well. There was a 3+ minute gap in front of 5401-06. IIRC though, I believe I saw 5401-06 on 143 and 5441-46 on 141.

Just out of curiousity, does anyone know whether the current headway (4-5mins) between trains ahead of the TR will be permanent? I'm noticing lately that this is causing more overcrowding than usual at the downtown stations during rush hour.

Got to ride a TR some days ago. The only problem I have is complete synchronization of the doors and chimes which probably causes the delay, because the doors have to wait until the chime completes playing before opening doors. if they could time these two items separately, I think it would be faster in terms of door opening and closing

I actually had the doors close on me the other day while the chimes were playing. Go figure. 541x set I think it was.

A friend of mine spotted 5391 on a flatbed this morning. It's front lights are taped up. Currently asking for more details - the photos sent to me make it look like it's in York Region heading north.

5392-5 are in the yard without the end cars. I'm guessing it's finally getting sent back to Bombardier for modifications into a production model train.

Yesterday:

5411-16 on 102 during PM peak

5431-36 on 119 during AM peak and midday*

5451-56 on 132 during AM peak

Today:

5451-56 on 132 again during AM Peak

* - When I saw 5431-36 during AM peak 5431's run box was on and working. When I rode it during midday 5431's run box was blank. Both times it was the end car.

Saw it too, sitting near the Tim Hortons/Wendys near the 407 on Keele northbound.

Makes sense, since the 539x is sitting in the yard, visible from the mainline, and both 5391 and 5396 are missing in action.
