The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) has ordered 204 Bombardier Flexity Outlook streetcars for the TTC's exhisting streetcar network. The cars will be fully low floor and fully accessible. The 30 metre cars can seat 69 passengers or around 230 passengeer with standees. Inside the cars will feature two spaces for bicycles, SVASAS (automated announcements), passenger assistance alarms, passenger intercoms, and CCTV cameras.

In 2007, the TTC consulted the public on design of new streetcars. Website work launched for input and mock-ups from Bombardier and Siemens displayed. In June, a Bombardier Flexity Swift built to Minneapolis-St. Paul Metro Transit specifications was displayed at Yonge-Dundas Square. This mock-up was previously displayed in 2004 in front of the Hummingbird Centre. At the 2007 Canadian National Exhibition, the TTC displayed the Bombardier mock-up again along with a Siemens Combino Plus mock-up built to Metro Sul do Tejo specifications. On promotional material Bombardier also used the image of the Flexity Outlook built for Brussels.

On April 24, 2009, the TTC announced that they selected Bombardier for 204 Flexity Outlook streetcars.^[1] The deal was approved by city council and the contract was signed in June valued at approximately $851 million. Three prototypes are scheduled to belivered in late 2011, and the rest of the order is scheduled to take place between 2012 and 2018.^[2] The first car is planned to enter service in 2013.
