On top, planning out my stock picks/ETF. Right now the markets are down, so it does build a buying opportunity having to stay strong and not let the downturn get the best of me. Since stocks/ETFs are for long-term investing. Also catching up on any correspondence on social media/emails. The internet never really sleeps. I don’t know if it’s the driver itself or the crossover. I’ll take it apart later and trace out what’s going on but I priced out a replacement and it wasn’t cheap. Got a used pair of B&W floor standers for about the same price. This Pioneer developed a horribly noisy set of controls. Took it apart. Groaned at the inside. Getting at the control deck requires taking the whole front off and that means restringing and aligning the dial pointer because it’s mounted to both the panel and rest of the chassis. Luckily I was able to do a contortionist act and get it sprayed out well enough without having to do all that. Tablet’s the signal source and I’ve got a Macy Gray concert blasting. It sounds good enough despite the abysmal location of the speakers. They’ve got a rear port so distance to the wall matters and they aren’t near one. While I’m listening, I’m going to gut out a bunch of junk boards I ended up with. But first that little Microchip dev kit board has an LCD screen so I’m going to power that up and see if there’s anything that comes up on the display. And no action other than D1 glowing. E-Waste. I was about to say this has been a foam free evening but one of my friends called and made the railfan noise on the phone. So that’s something, but yeah I’ve been a very neglectful transit fan lately. Edit: Oh yeah. Loud enough to get the alarm light on! Ok, so there’s a reason for blasting it with that receiver. It’s bouncing around but the bar chart power readout on the receiver’s showing it pushing about a watt out on each side and I’m about 1 metre away. So my somewhat close enough loosely goosey testing is showing sound pressure levels pretty much right where I’d expect them to be given the stated sensitivity of the speakers so that’s another indication they’re working properly. 2 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And I had all of the comments turned off for my videos on YouTube nearly a year ago during the Start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank goodness I didn't had any negative comments from these porn comment bots (aka clueless trolls who were unleashed under the bridge and spamming girl porn links to people's channels what contains virus, fraud schemes of money scams and other attempts). And trying to convince one of my football buddies to come out but no dice so far. He completely shut down from the world about 10 days ago. I always found Wikipedia interesting though it also help created wikis. Since it is an online encyclopedia that anyone can edit and what academic institutions don't want students to use as sources. captaintrolley Posted April 16, 2021 Report Share Posted April 16, 2021 The bad part about longer days is that the sun comes around my side of the building in the evening and reminds me that my windows need washing.. So today I got off my fat laurels and washed the windows. Got the fuzzy door mats in the laundry now too, after I shook nearly a ton of winter dirt and gravel from them. Taking a bit of a break before I wrestle the screen back into the window. (Thankfully no bugs yet) I'd give anything to have longer arms, I really am not suitably built for some chores (light bulbs are another difficulty for me).
