PWT Toronto Prevost H3-45 units 5192 and 5193 are down in Vancouver helping do extra trips for Ebus. Units from Alberta and Toronto are in BC to help. Majority in Kelowna and some are going to be in Vancouver.

Their Toronto fleet is shrinking. They have about 25 or so buses. Most of the buses have gone to Alberta. I am surprised they poached the ex-Safeway Tours Units, thought they would go for the older units.

RED ARROW and EBUS in Alberta will Suspend All Motor Coach operations as of Mar.29 until further Notice!!  I knew they were operating a reduced schedule but I guess no one has the kinda money u need to ride them now  as Red Arrow is a premium brand! But I never thought they would suspend operations Entirely!! This is Def Huge!! They say they will still operate the Ebus BC division. Im expecting maybe u will see them reduce frequency or cut back to 1 trip a day out of Kamloops,Kelowna and Vancouver.

Sounds temporary due to COVID 19. Where in this post did it sound like people had no money to ride due to it being premium brand?

it is temporary but until whenever this virus thing gets finished. Alot of people out of work right now..chances are anyone travelling will want to go as cheap as they can...cash is tight for many. And with them being only able to sell half their seats that didnt help much either. It doesnt look like it was planned much ahead as they released a new updated schedule then 4 days later said they were temp cancelling. Im surprised they cancelled ebus too.

Nice to see new units!

I was going to update the wiki - do you know if 5734-5737 are also H3-45s?

It seems effective Nov 1 until further notice (they say for the winter) Red Arrow and ebus are suspending all stops at their Edmonton South and Calgary North locations! So they will Only stop at their downtown stops in both Edmonton and Calgary. Plus they now stop at Kingsway Transit Centre in Edmonton also. They changed their mind and will still stop now but Only a Stop no waiting area.

2 PWT Red H3-45's got transferred out west from Ontario. One of them is 5721. Other I'm unsure of but are at Prevost here in Vancouver. Will try and photograph them when they come through. With the 2 transfers, the 2 X3-45's #1591 and 1592 were sent back to Alberta.

PW in Mississauga has forecast that the industry won't pick up until 2023. After the NHL Bubble they haven't gotten any work. Most of their senior drivers have taken PW's retirement package. Should Safeway Tours get the ok to resume service to Fallsview Casino, I heard PW didn't make the list since Safeway spent money on Great Canadian Coaches and Attridge to outfit the Safeway units with barriers.

That's unfortunate. Seems though that PWT is still doing well out west between BC and Alberta with all the industrial work they have. Plus the transit contracts. But Ebus in BC passenger counts aren't so hot. Regardless, I'm still thankful for work still.

Ebus passenger counts i would think are because of covid. Ebus and Red Arrow are set to reduce service late Decin Ab , so i wouldnt be surprised if ebus in BC did the same.

Don't they in more normal times due a huge amount of tour work out of Toronto?

Maple Leaf Sports Entertainment is most of their work. With the Leaf's playing again that should help them out with a bit of work, But no Raptors work again this year. Safeway was good work for them but looks like they will not be doing that for a long while due to covid.

A serious MVA on the Coquihalla Highway earlier today involving over 20 vehicles has left 1 dead and over 30 injuried. Ebus 5738 was involved and received some serious rear end damage.

Ebus will have an interline connection as of May or sooner between BC and Ab. Thompson Valley Charters was approved to Operate Kamloops to BC/Ab border and will operate to Edmonton. Service will be 2 x week all day trips. With TVC using ebus terminals in Kamloops and Edmonton.Service will be timed so it connects to/from Vancouver in Kamloops with ebus.
