323 Surrey Ctrl Stn
I saw 7118 in service again today. On route 14 (Vic General Hospital-UVIC). I took a ride on it just for the fun of it. It'll be in the next "Buses in Victoria, BC" series video. Sweet! Wierd ride eh? Chris Cassidy
general682002
As Dave already mentioned I managed to find one of the STM Novas in service!7118 (Former 17-017) was the loan Montreal Nova to go out yesterday and spent it's day on route 10 Royal Jubilee/Dockyard. I took it for a nice ride and enjoyed a piece of Quebec quality It had to be the LOUDEST transit bus I've ever been on, and appeared to be louder then the 1988 Classics I rode later that day. 7119-7122 were all plated and parked inside of VTC but none went out in service. Chris Cassidy Yup, good ol Meritor axles!

Oh, I'm pretty sure you'll like the ones with Cummins ISC, they are great! The one you rode hadded the Cummins C8.3! So of course they're LOUD. M. Parsons
Ha! I'd laugh if the Montreal area fans get to have these buses back, and in service, after they were so happy to hear they were in Victoria.
SidneyTransitfan
So by that you mean renumbered back to their STM numbers? Exactly. The BC Transit Decals have been peeled off, and the NovaBus decals stuck back on.
M. Parsons
Exactly. The BC Transit Decals have been peeled off, and the NovaBus decals stuck back on. NovaBus decals? That's not STM either. NovaBus decals would presumably not be fleet numbers, which is what MBTA enquired about. Was it numbers that were put back on, or perhaps a logo that was put on? NovaBus is plausible as I believe some of the ex STM LFS's were going back to them for whatever reason, and, I believe all of the Prevost's came through Prevost/ NovaBus (Volvo) so a big package deal for coaches and transits from one supplier would have made sense. stm_5307N
Where not getting those used 1st gens back here in MTL.. They will either continue on to another TA as used junk or be scrapped by Nova. The STM is getting rid of all the 1st gens at a fast rate. Another 2 years and they'll should all be done. SidneyTransitfan
How I mean, is that 18-012 and 18-018 appear as above (71xx no longer visible), and BC Transit logo decals have disappeared too. The Biobus logo that was on the buses during transit from Montreal has been reapplied in place of the BC Transit logo... Understand? Add: 18-094 also renumbered back to STM numbers. 7118 & 7122 still in revenue service!
Enviro 500
I visited Victoria on Monday, and I was very lucky for having been able to find #7122 (STM 17-033) in service on rt.27/28, an all-day run that was out from 6am til midnight! SidneyTransitfan
Excerpt from transit-victoria-bysmsys Yahoo! group... (Les Broughton) "7118 and 7122 were the last montreal buses active, they have been pulled as of thursday. looks like bct simply covered the montreal decals with white ad wrap material matched to the paint on the bus then applied logo and numbers over top. with this removed the original decals are intact"

Bessarion
It seems like these STM nova buses are in better shape then the ones currently in Montreal! No grafitti, clean interior. I personally would rather take these ones back than the ones currently in MTL!

BCT-3122-D800-10240
Looking through this thread it seems we have 7118 listed as Ex-STM #17-017 and 7120 listed as Ex-STM 18-012. Do we know what the STM fleet numbers are for 7119, 7121, 7122 ?? I am updating my website and would like to be able to include this information with my images of the Ex-STM Nova's. Is there another thread somewhere that includes this information that I have missed or did I miss it somewhere in this thread? Thanks for any help. MCW Metrobus
David indicated above that BC Transit 7122 was STM 17-033. One of the other ex-STM Novas is 17-094 and another is 18-088. I don't know which BC Transit numbers correspond to either of these other than that neither of them was BC Transit 7117, because I spotted those three buses parked together at Prevost in Delta last weekend.
