And yet the 35 and 36 get them and the 33 could probably use them. However, on the two occasions I’ve ridden the 33, I’ve been in a seat by the time the bus has reached McPhillips and I don’t recall there being too many people still standing by the time it hit Mountain. Maybe there’s less demand for the 34 just because it doesn’t get to McPhillips the same way as the 33 and makes fewer stops along the way to the Maples.

Just curious, whats the point of imploding all WT express service, with no more actual express service? Its been Winnipegs backbone for transit ridership, for decades...

Interesting that the number is still highlighted. The 24 Ness (Unicity to Polo Park only) doesn't highlight the number, so why not "un-highlight" the 21 on the new sign, and all the other new "express" signs, considering they're stopping at all stops? Not my picture, as an example of the 24 Ness.

My guess is the number on the “express” 24s is probably still highlighted, though a driver may as well punch 2402(?) instead of 2412 when headed outbound. It’s operating non-express either way.

Has anyone seen buses signed as a 22 or a 25? Considering all express routes are non-express now, and the 21/22 and 24/25 are literally identical, it would be silly to sign a bus as a 22 or 25.

May as well sign 21s and 22s as 11s by that logic. Likewise for other express routes. Though some express routes have different destinations than their local counterparts, and some don’t even have a counterpart (such as the 40 or the 59). I wonder if the code for 18 North Main-Leila is still programmed into the Luminators.

The 40's counterpart is the 41. Both express routes share a large portion of their routes with the 11.

What I mean is that there’s no 11 All Seasons. The 40 does share much of its route with the 11 (as is the case with the 59 and 55), but travel to entirely different destinations.

Yup, same styling as what you see as that 21 image as with how it's styled regularly.

I would totally go full mutiny and just sign up as an 11/regular 24 (at least outbound)/33/47/79 instead.

I see. Ironically the 40 was the 41 All Seasons until January 2007.

On the topic of the 40/41, when the branches were being broken apart, Transit considered extending the 41 to East St. Paul (sort of), with a Park & Ride just north of the Perimeter, but was cancelled for whatever reason. Not even the Transit Master Plan has a route going through there, including Route F (Henderson-Pembina). Route B (Main-St. Mary's) might, but only in the summer.

It was canceled due to east St. Paul not wanting to help fund the service

Now that BLUE is in place, what are the odds that Winnipeg Transit actually updates their "blue emergency service plan" and makes it something that they can rely on during a snowstorm, instead of haphazardly creating service alerts and cancelling parts of routes?

Probably 0%. Seriously, when's the last time that was updated? Kinda surprised it hasn't been officially canned.

I’m surprised they’d replace it, seeing as social distancing is still important. Cases may be down, but the virus isn’t gone.
