Over the next while, I will be updating my website with photos from this recent trip into Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Peter did you happen to see the two Western Flyer Highway Buses that New Flyer has restored. I would be really interested in finding out if the deck & a half one is the same bus that was sitting in the Edmonton wrecking yard for quite a few years. The wrecking yard bus has disapeared & since there were only 4 Western Flyer deck & halfs built & one of the 4 is a motorhome in California

Do you have an updated location? Location was the same. I did check this out myself after you and me discussed this. Again, this was still a little while back. It is far from the road. Even a 300mm lens would have a tough time pulling the bus in close. That is without trespassing on the CN RoW.

That bus by the Invero is the Den Oudsten X98. Nice pics Peter and Martin!

Very rough translation from Babelfish: Pine seniors X98 2001 a second prototype bus with experimental traction, was in development in association with fokker. During the failliessement the bus had up to that point progressed that the vehicle was technically. There was no interieur but meetapparatuur to border. He was not sold by auction but directly sold. Meanwhile it has been confessed that he has left to Canada, possibly to New flyer So it is just a shell?

I'm not sure about the particular X98 by the Invero being basically a shell, but it looks that way since there is no rear door. My guess is the X98 is with New Flyer as a basis for the LFR design.

That coach was privately-owned ex-Eagle Bus Lines unit. The second day we had WT D900 # 103, with Dennis Cavanagh driving, to Beaver Bus Lines, a drive by NFI, anther company in the NW whose name i forget, lunch at Polo Park, and th home stretch along Academy Rd. back to our hotel (the Charter House, now a Best Western and renovated).

The Classics are the most recent deliveries in the past few years and seem to be replacing other equipment running on the Selkirk / Winnipeg Commuter run. A few buses shown on this list as running the "Selkirk run" now seem to be running on the School runs as they were probably displaced by the arriving Classics. #52 is the most recent delivery and is still being set up for service and is apparently not yet plated. No wonder is was so much easier to find a 1985 and 1986 D901A's compared to the 1987 D40's. I also kinda noticed that it was hard to find the 1992 D40's of which only 11 remain active.
