Buzz2kb
On the same topic, thanks to Edison and Knowba for help with this link: The U of Tennessee in Knoxville is taking delivery of 20 EZ-Riders for their campus routes. http://www.utk.edu/t...buses-unveiled/ Front of the bus is visible here: http://ridethet.utk.edu/ They actually operates two sizes of EZ-Rider II BRT (30 and 35ft.) and the 40ft. Axcess BRT. Attached here are bus 4223, a 30ft. EZ-Rider, bus 4229 (a similar 35ft. bus) and buses 4236 and 4237 (both Axcess's). Hope that you'll love their sharp liveries if not the buses themselves!

MAX BRT
Blue Water Area Transit of Port Huron, Michigan has 40 foot CNG Eldorado BRT Axess buses. I did not know that! Must be ElDorado day. Here is an article about Longview Transit buying from ElDo. http://www.news-journal.com/news/local/as-ridership-increases-longview-transit-buys-larger-buses/article_dcc89f89-afaf-5e5f-9d23-4c977cda7bf9.html "Due in part to the increased use of city transportation, Longview Transit has purchased two new ElDorado EZ Rider II buses, one of which arrived in Longview on Dec. 31 and will hit the streets in February. “The current plan is to replace these one at a time,” said Director of Maintenance James Torres. Torres added that he has been asked to prepare a proposal to replace most of the buses used. The 102-inch-wide, 31-foot-long bus costs about $325,000. The International class buses used now by Longview Transit cost about $215,000. Because the buses are built to order, the second bus should arrive in Longview in late 2014. Buzz2kb
Thanks, definitely sharp buses. My favorite is the bus with "late nite" on the sign (3rd pic) out in the day time. It's because that UT Knoxville's Late Nite service begins at 6pm, and it was in September, Therefore, it was still in daylight around that time, when my shot was taken. By the way, can anyone confirm if ElDorado has standardized their EZ-Rider/Axcess offerings to BRT-fronts only? Thanks!

So have transit agencies and college shuttle systems largely opted for the BRT-fronted option? Thanks!
Turbo19
So have transit agencies and college shuttle systems largely opted for the BRT-fronted option? Thanks!I couldn't say exactly, but it may very well be the case. No surprise as all the other manufacturers push the BRT styling. And no problem. MAX BRT
Noone talked about ElDorado for months and then suddenly there is all this new info about them! I wonder what other TAs are out there that have purchased ElDorado and nobody knows about it? Like Blue Water Area Transit running Axess buses. The Axess page on the wiki needs updating if anyone has more info. I know that U Tennessee runs them, PACE runs them, Blue Water runs them. U of Buffalo too? MVTArider
With so many First contracts having ElDorado Axess or EZRII I have to wonder what First Transit Minneapolis will be getting to replace the 4 600 series 2002 Gillig LF 40'. From what I've seen two are in the U of MN PTS shuttle livery, one is white, and one is white with Delta logos. (Used for backup with the Delta Employee Shuttle 2008 800 series Gillig BRT units. Those might be owned by Delta, not sure.) If First has a nice contract price going with ElDo then some 40' Axess would probably be likely. Gillig could also be likely of course, the Rice Street yard is pretty heavy on MTS Gillig LF units. Otherwise perhaps they'll go to ABC for more Van Hool A300L. MAX BRT
Thanks for pointing out the connection between First Transit and ElDorado. That explains a lot about where these buses can be found.
