22-420 reactivated into service today

Wow, odd that they're reactivating one this late in the game. I wonder how long it's been gone, almost certainly since before we started this thread.

Yesterday:

  • 23-238 was on the 105 during PM rush.

Today:

  • 23-225 was on the 105 at Vendome around 17:25.
  • 22-323 arrived and left Atwater as En Transit around 17:10.

Been sitting at Anjou since December 2017, it was put into service today, but cam back on the tow truck twice...

I caught 22-309 on the 16 (SL extra) this morning.

22-242 was tracking on the 419 this morning, I wonder if @West Island Transit Fan caught it or not.

I did!! It was doing my regular bus (7:19 from Fairview). I had to rush because it actually came 2 minutes early. Likewise, I saw 22-309 tracking on the 16 SL extra and wondered if you caught it or not.

On my way home, I caught 22-401 on the 12:25 departure from JAC.

Both buses run fantastically.

Also, 22-242's iBus voice was talking very slowly.

I seem to be having bad luck with riding these lately. :( Whenever I have the chance to take the 90's SL extras, nothing remotely interesting is on them. But when I need to leave early (before the extras), there are a lot of 22-XXX and 23-XXX

22-358 was on the 90-W near Cavendish around 7:20. (SL extra).

Tracking on the 90 were 23-212 (SL extra) and 23-229 (running out of LS). All three of them did consecutive departures from Elmhurst at 8:12 (23-229; 110-48) , 8:17 (23-212; 196-64) and 8:22 (22-358; 90-13).

Maybe I'll have better luck next week.

  • 22-420 doing the 141 WB at Jean Talon / Pie-IX at 20h41 (got on it)

22-420 has returned indeed! Bus was not showing up on Transit app, but did on the Chronos app so essentially this bus was running in stealth mode. Bus was on run 26 and did the 20h55 141 EB from St. Michel after.

  • 23-227 doing the 211 EB at Gare Dorval at 16h22 (got on it)
  • 22-242 doing the 215 WB at Cote Vertu Metro at 17h20 ish
  • 22-306 doing the 177 EB arriving at same place around 17h30
  • 22-201, 22-380, 22-386, 22-388, 22-391 and 22-393 parked outside Legendre

Stinson's 23-227 runs quite well. 22-242 was tracking on the 204 after and 22-306 on the 171. The bad news here is that 22-201 no longer has a farebox from what I can see and no side ads. :( So unretired 22-215 becomes the new oldest bus at the STM in service. 22-380 looks like it was sitting there a long time but it still has a farebox.

5/12/19

  • 22-323 doing the 24 EB at Villa Maria Metro at 16h06 (got on it)
  • 22-286 doing the 64 NB at Cote Vertu Metro at 17h37 (got on it)
  • 22-282 doing the 64 SB at Grenet / De Serres at 18h01
  • 22-295 and 22-307 parked outside Frontenac

22-323 is the last remaining 2002 at Frontenac and that 16h07 departure was it's last for the day.

22-295 is sitting outside Frontenac also without a farebox, effectively retired no doubt. :( St. Laurent's 22-307 was sitting with the buses on the "shunt" side of the garage.

iBus: 22-346 on the 64, Legendre's 22-379 on the 191, 23-212 on the 171

I took 22-420 on the 141-E at 11:15 today. There is a rattling coming from the engine compartment while the bus is idling. I noticed a similar sound when I took 22-410 not long before it was last active (March 15th). I assume they'll make more of an effort to keep 22-420 active, since they just brought it back.

You can tell it was probably sitting outside for a long time: a lot of the metal interior components are rusty.

22-406 was also on the 141.

22-394 and 23-207 were on the 90. I took 23-207 on the 90-W at 16:55.
