Big CJ
I got something, but hear me out. By no means would I post anything from Wikipedia, but this information here appears to be legit as VINs are provided and they never interfered with any other Orion V with those VINs. I've also taken the time to check before making the edits. Some Coach USA Orion Vs link up with these same VINs too, so I've made edits in response to the information below. It also shows where those rejected Orion Vs went. What does everyone think? http://www.wikiwand.com/en/Talk:MTA_Regional_Bus_Operations_bus_fleet#/Green_Bus_Orions_were_NOT_from_WMATA! Big CJ
I've added all the serial numbers for the Orion Vs, including the cancelled Orion Vs from this order that New Orleans had. Several of these cancelled buses went to Green Bus Lines, Queens Surface, Gray Line, and Red & Tan.
Border City Transit
Anyone see this? https://www.nola.com/news/politics/article_4829860c-a051-11ea-b4e3-bbc89b31fe44.html After years with Transdev -- in two or three different contractual configurations -- NORTA is taking its service in-house. I welcome the change. Transdev did decent work. But, as NOLA stabilizes and grows, this is a logical move to get the city on its own two feet. Fleet-wise, gotta wonder what their next buses will be. It was a fairly reliable Orion customer on-and-off since the mid 1990s. They've purchased New Flyer buses, but it always seemed kind of "last resort". Their oldest Orions are due for replacement... so we'll find out soon how this fleet matures.

CentralFLTransitFan
So I was looking at their bus fleet, where and when could the MCIs be found, if they're still used? And is there any roster of the 900 series streetcars? The Wiki shows that there's still 35 active, but not which ones specifically.
GTAmissions1
Modifications have been made to the existing streetcars to be ADA compliant along St. Charles line along with the stops. Previously only the Canal Street, Riverfront and Rampart streetcar lines are accessible. Being the red ones. https://www.fox8live.com/2020/12/01/new-ada-streetcars-enter-service-st-charles-avenue/?fbclid=IwAR0YiLLzA8p2YgtOL2QSmFxm3yvJ6ZvAVSl6ZFujyI6mr7muMuw75Inzt4I My last visit was in April 2019 which I saw the streetcars along Canal Street. Didn't have a chance to ride one due to time constraints. At the same time, I won't deny they have been keeping the rolling stock especially the 900 series. Those ones being built in 1923 and still providing service. Almost 100 years and a lot of work without replacements other than 457 to 463 and the 2000 series. Considering a lot has changed and the cost of upgrades and modernization would be a lot more expensive along with historical designation. I don't think I could handle the limited capacity of a streetcar in New Orleans. Especially if it reaches crush load capacity.

Not sure about that -- but they're about to get Xcelsiors of some sort. In a new paint scheme, no less: https://www.norta.com/New-Buses Those drawings all show 35-foot buses. It wouldn't be the first time NO buys 35-footers -- but it's kind of hard to see the reason. The system is poised to grow -- and with "social distancing" now a thing, I'd think they'd want more space, not less. I don't know of any NORTA routes that require shorter buses due to street size/turn radius limitations, though maybe that's a consideration? DCTransitFilms
So I finally decided to look over all my photos and begin to upload them during my week stay in New Orleans. I managed to see the 2010 and 2012 Orion VIIs, and the 2019-22 XD40s/XD35s. I also did see the last three active 2008 Orion VIIs but I do not have a good picture of them. As for the DE60LFRs I did not see any out unfortunately even though I heard they run to Duncan Plaza (where my hotel was). I also do have Trolley pics but I have not uploaded or edited them yet. As well, I also got pics of the newly renamed Jefferson Parish Transit that ran into Downtown New Orleans. Anyways here are some highlights pics I got from New Orleans July 12-July 16:
DCTransitFilms
Also, NORTA is redesigning its bus network on September 25, in order to improve from its current design. So my stay in New Orleans were during the last few months of the current bus network. Here is the map of the new network: https://platform.remix.com/map/5e6ccfec?latlng=29.9553,-90.08151,14.513&public=true Also here is the article: https://www.norta.com/current-projects/september25  Also, the Loyola-UPT Streetcar and Riverfront Streetcar have been temporarily running as the Loyola-Riverfront Streetcar line (Route 49) as both the two former has been suspended. Does anyone know why both haven't been reinstated, and when they'd resume service (as I did see construction going on in parts of the Riverfront Line? Ik it has something to do with the building collapse a few years ago.
