OCCheetos
4226 has a different chime than other buses. It sounds like the regular one (not the obnoxious buzzer that some others have) but with two tones instead of just one. It sounds almost like the tone that plays when the doors open. I think the two tones are actually what the chime is supposed to play (maybe there are more after the second?), and a short or an error makes it start playing the second tone before it cuts off. York Region Transit's EZ Riders uses the two tones you hear as their accessible stop request.

York Region Transit's EZ Riders uses the two tones you hear as their accessible stop request. It’s likely one that’s just mis wired. Has two input wires and one ground in the plug. The input wires may have been pinned in the opposite positions. Comme ça.

The wheelchair chime is just the same tone repeated twice (I think?) The tone I heard was two distinct pitches and played during a regular stop request. OC Transpo/STO Fan
I've noticed that on 4397 (rebuilt), there is now a glossy yellow stanchion next to the driver instead of the regular matte black one. I also saw this on another 45xx Invero. 4526, which I rode today and has not been refurbed, just has the older black stanchion instead. Has OC Transpo been replacing the black stanchions with the yellow ones on the refurbed units?

No, they are just painting all stanchions yellow, rather than painting one black.

whistler
Is there any quick ways to tell if an Invero is a refurb from the outside? I know usually the paint looks fresher but does anything else give them away without getting in?

I know usually the paint looks fresher but does anything else give them away without getting in? If the bus is very shiny (most noticeable on the front and rear), it's rebuilt. Rebuilt Inveros also still have their leaf window decals intact. There are some rebuilt Inveroes (particularly the ones done earlier) that have lost the decal but it's still a good way to identify (for now, they may wear out later on). That's pretty much it as far as I know. If you're inside the bus, the glossy yellow driver's area stanchions will certainly give it away. Unrebuilt units still have black stanchions that are matte. The seat inserts will also be dark blue if the bus is rebuilt but the seats will fade over time so not really a good way.
OCCheetos
The rebuilt ones also have brushed metal window sills whereas the older ones are painted (and the paint is usually pretty chipped).
