Their understanding were like right now what is committed doesn't cover the transit part of the system. GDOT has coordinated with the local to finalize the station locations. However, it is still working progress to secure the transit part of the funding from FTA and Fulton County sales tax to build those stations. Engineering design have made sure when the express lane breaks ground within next 8ish years, median space will be reserved at those proposed station site but at least for now, they don't plan to build the stations at the same time. Frankly, building stations in the middle of GA-400 is a risky idea. It works okay for Buckhead because it has that level of density next to GA-400. Places like Alpharetta, Roswell, and even Sandy Springs are typical suburban edge cities which don't even have traditional downtowns. Stations in the middle of freeway won't attract much of commuters unless they put hell of efforts on building a robust local bus system to feed the BRT trunk line and people change their perspective about transit in the future. 1
BroncoFan623 Posted June 3, 2021 Report Posted June 3, 2021 2343 is running Route 24 on 6/3/21 according to the MARTA app. And 2492 & 2493 are running on Route 30 according to the MARTA app.

HR2012TPA Posted October 1, 2023 Report Posted October 1, 2023 I saw in a couple of Facebook groups yesterday that the next batch of 40' Gillig BRT Plus CNGs are coming in. Not sure how many buses total, but the one photographed was 7101. 1

Can't remember which one. Does anyone know what is the highest 7100-series bus for the ongoing Gillig CNG order? 2

Glennwood Road Ent. HR2012TPA Posted May 15 Report Posted May 15 It's probably safe to say that the "on order" entry for 235 Gilligs should be removed. Out of 235 planned Gilligs 40' CNGs, only 105 were produced. I've heard from an acquaintance in the Atlanta area that MARTA is receiving New Flyer XN40s - observing 7109 & 7110. My guess is that they signed a multi-year contract & that these incoming units will begin replacing out the 1400 series units. 2

My guess is that they signed a multi-year contract & that these incoming units will begin replacing out the 1400 series units. This is correct. Due to MARTA's extreme displeasure with the Gilligs MDBF being less than favorable they cancelled the order, and placed a new order for 265 Xcelsiors. The order is a multi-year contract that will consist of XN35's, XN40's, XE40's, XE60's and 2 pilot buses. An XHE40, and an XHE60. 37 are currently in delivery. 7106-7142. 7106-7117 have been delivered. The assignment will change, but as of right now it stands as follows: Hamilton: 7106-7109 Perry: 7110-7113 Laredo: 7114-7117 XN60: 9001-9006 have been delivered to Laredo. 9001 is a 2024, and the rest are 2025's. XE40: 8007 is at the Browns Mill acceptance facility. 2 2

Those are VMC Vicinity Classic 38', likely 2021. They sent a few to MSP to operate the flight crew and employee shuttles for a couple years until the order of ENC EZ Rider 35' arrived. Incidentally all of the EZ Riders here have that same 100 year scheme wrap, but just solid blue in the rear without photos.
