  1. ALRVs are assigned to a few runs in the A.M. rush. In p.m. rush you are more likely to see an ALRV on 508 than 504.
  2. 94xx were in service all the time on weekends prior to the rebuild.
  3. Yes, they had 15 of them, 2985-2999 - 1960 models (TDH-4517). The rest of the fishbowls were all 40 foot although they had them in 96'' and 102'' widths.
  4. All of the terminal stations have center platforms already.
  5. Yes. I think some of the signs on (and beside) the building still say no parking in front of garage doors. January 4, 1993.
  6. It was on Davenport just west of Bathurst, adjacent to the Hillcrest compound. These days it is used by the TTC for other things (Special Constables?).
  7. There are 3 buses on the route in the a.m. rush and 2 during the day on weekdays until about 11:30 p.m.
  8. A new tender has been added to the TTC procurement page. It calls on companies to provide: Could this be a subtle hint at artics joining the TTC fleet in the near future? Full notice of the contract is here. P.S. Apparantly I misspelled Malvern in the topic title, but I don't seem to able to edit it.
  9. Nothing too unusual about this anymore. These days I very frequently see an Orion VII on 125, although today in p.m. rush there was a 94xx bus on the 125.
  10. You've mentioned spottings like these at least 3 times already, and each time I told you that those are the cars that are either returning to the garage or going out to the route. There is absolutely nothing special about it - it happens every single day and it has nothing to do with any delay.

I'm sure this could be done, but it is a useless luxury and money could be better spent on other things. Most people have watches and/or cell phones and wouldn't need these.
  12. TTC D40LFs are 1999, not 1997-98.
  13. Not quite sure, exactly what you are trying to say, but USSR wasn't just Russia, it included other nations that are now Sovereign: Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgiztan and Tajukistan.
  14. I do see them everyday. and have seen plenty of Orion I buses on the route.
  15. Since when is being communist the same thing as being part of USSR? Cuba for example is still communist, while USSR is long gone. The other countries that are currently communist are North Korea, China and Vietnam. Czechoslovakia on the other hand was a part of the Soviet block of countries and their government was socialist at best and communist at worst. In 1968, they tried to have a revolution to oust the government that was installed by USSR and more or less indirectly run by them, however, it was crushed by the Red Army. In fact, Jaromir Jagr # 68 is meant as a reminder of the 1968 revolution. Other countries that were communist at one point or another (with USSR assistance, of course) were Bulgaria, East Germany, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Yugoslavia, Albania, Mongolia, Laos, Cambodia, Afghanistan, Ethiopia and Yemen.
  16. Any recent sightings of 6201? Does it still have the rear wrap for Malvern Town Centre?
  17. Again with 9229? It has been retired since January, how about you check the list on the first page before posting imaginary sightings.
  18. What are you basing that on? Just because people didn't bother posting about it here doesn't mean they aren't in service.
  19. As was already mentioned earlier, if the TTC decided to replace the trolleys it would have been done in 1993-4 before the D40LF became widespread and the trolleys would have likely been either D40HF, Orion V or MCI Classics.
  20. Revenue service from Fleet loop (on the 509) was removed effective February 13, 2006.
  21. Here's a quote from the first post in this thread:
  22. I would put the first 90 or so of the 12xx buses at Arrow and transfer the fishbowls to Malvern and the 75/76xx Orions to Birchmount. That way Arrow would only have two different types of buses at the division which would make it easier for ther mechanics and drivers.
