  1. Hi All! I made the first of a number of updates to the site that will come in the next couple of weeks. This one consists of 71 pictures taken during the TTS Hamilon artic charter that took place on September 2, 2006. Enjoy,
  2. 7803 is also still Eglinton, it was on 97 this morning.
  3. There also used to be one or two runs on the 95 in p.m. ruh that went to the 60 afterwards.
  4. While the order wasn't that large, the YRT Solos were bought in a joint tender.
  5. When did the first 26xx enter service also when did the first 92xx Orion VI enter service?
  6. It was down most of Sunday and Monday and there were occasional glitches on Tuesday as well. Had to upgrade the cable modem.
  7. As some of you may have noticed, the site was down the last few days. This was due to technical problems which have now been resolved. The site is back online, although there is no update yet. I expect to roll one out before the end of the year (several hundred pictures).
  8. According to Alan Gryfe's site: units 1290-94 were bought from Murray Hill (operator in Montreal), however, units 1293-94 were operated by Music Mann (of London) prior to being operated by Murray Hill.
  9. My memory is playing tricks on me. Are Keele Station's subway platforms above ground? That is to get to the buses one would need to go down a set of stairs rather than up a set of stairs, right?
  10. My g/f saw that bus yesterday on 42 and said that the fleet number was either 7477 or 7747. She also thought it was a Bell ad.
  11. There are scheduled short turns at the end of rush hour that are used by buses going out of service. For example: 60S to Weston/Signet, 36S to Weston/Arrow, 84S to Sheppard/Arrow.
  12. Spadina used to have 24/7 service until 1992 when it was still a bus route.
  13. Thanks, now it makes sense, your original list was missing 6235 and 6236 as well.
  14. Not to mention that a lot of people picked players who are currently locked in to 3-4 year contracts at entry level salaries who would be unavailable for their teams and who would be commending much higher salaries when they become restricted free agents (Crosby, Malkin, Jordan Staal, Ovechkin).
  15. Can do it another way. Here are the ones that not on the list: 1. 6213 2. 6214 3. 6215 4. 6216 5. 6218 6. 6227 7. 6229 8. 6234 9. 6235 10. 6236 11. 6237 12. 6242 13. 6254 14. 6255 15. 6256 16. 6258 17. 6261 18. 6266 19. 6270 20. 6275 21. 6276 22. 6277 23. 6285 24. 6291 Started out with 84 Classics, 24 retired, so muct be only 60 left.
  16. Any chance you could double check the list since the numbers you gave only add to 60 and not 63.
  17. There is no "process" for making raw milk, you milk the cow and drink/sell the milk. I drank "raw" milk in Russia and it tasted a hell of a lot better than any of the pasteurized milk you buy in a store. The main reasons why they pasteurize the milk is not so that it would be "better" for the consumer, but so that it would last longer in your fridge. The thing is that in Canada the production of milk is set by the milk board which sets hw much milk can be produced by each province and all sales are done through the local boards (each province has one) so everyone can't legally sell milk. In fact, you can't even have cattle that are milk producing if you are not entitled to produce milk (in large quantities, of course). There was a case a few years ago in BC where a farmer obtain several hundred thousand heads of milk cows (which are different from cows destined to be meat), but he wasn't entitled to produce milk, because BC's quota of milk production was already allocated. The farmer was order to either sell the cattle or slaughter them for meat.
  18. A question for everyone who listed their teams: are forwards listed in the order of lines that they will play on? (I.e. in Michael T's team is Crosby playing on the 4th line and Scott Gomez is a bench player? Let's see who's over the cap: GMNewLook: $50,397,227 MichaelT: $51,417,180 (not including Pogge) STM_5307N: $84,499,000 OC 4439: $75,362,267 For a list of current NHL salaries look here.
  19. What are you talking about? This has nothing to do with Wikipedia.
  20. Actually the stations in Kiev and St. Petersburg were built in the 1990s after the end of the cold war. The thing is that in St. Petersburg, there are underground rivers and granite under the surface which prevent the building of subways too close to the surface. I.e. it is easier to tunnel deeper to avoid the underground water as well it allows them to tunnel through softer rocks than granite.
  21. The deepest station in the former USSR is Kiev's (Ukraine) "Arsenal'naya" Station which is 105 m (345 ft) underground. Deepest station in Moscow is about 80 m (262 ft, "Park Pobedy" Station), St. Peterburg's "Admeralteyskaya" station which is currently inactive is about 102 m (335 ft) below ground.
