BC Transit 9861-9878 are 1998 New Flyer D40LF built in 1998.
These units were originally allocated to communities outside of Victoria, and as such are equipped with air conditioning. All units have gone through a mid-life refurbishment, and are in the new green/blue livery.
Two units (9867-9868) were fitted with Cummins ISC engines from the factory instead of the standard Detroit Diesel Series 50 engines typical of the rest of the fleet.
